February 11, 2020 – Dallas, TX – For the first time in its five-year history, the Global Media Summit (GMS) will be hosting the GMS Music Awards and the GMS Literary Awards at the GMS Summit April 22-24, 2020 located at the Marriott Courtyard Dallas Carrollton Conference Center, 1201 Raiford Road, Carrollton, TX 75007.

The GMS Music Awards will kick off the Summit on Wednesday, April 22nd at 7:30 p.m. Music artist finalists will perform in front of a media audience for GMS attendees and will be judged by established music professionals. There are three winner titles: “GMS Music Awards Artist of the Year,” “GMS Music Awards Songwriter of the Year” and “Music Video of the Year.” The “Artist of the Year” will have the honor of standing center stage at the Platinum Awards Gala where they will perform one song. The GMS Music Awards are led by Erica Lane, a twice Billboard charting recording artist, songwriter and voice coach who has been featured on almost a dozen film or television soundtracks. “The GMS Music Awards is a great opportunity for talented artists to perform and network with a media audience, opening doors to endless possibilities,” said Lane. The GMS Literary Awards are also on tap for this year’s GMS Summit. Writing categories include “Non-Fiction,” “Fiction,” “Auto-biography/Memoir,” “Devotional,” and “Bible Study.” This competition is overseen by Mary Hollingsworth, a Christian publishing veteran of thirty-six years. Hollingsworth is author of 130+ Christian books that have appeared on bestseller lists more than 100 times. She has served as managing editor for traditional publishing companies, such as Word Publishing, Thomas Nelson, Guideposts Books, and others. She currently serves as president and publisher of Creative Enterprises Studio-a premier publishing services group hosting 230 highly experienced freelancers who handle projects for major publishers.
