December 17, 2019 – Dallas, TX – The Global Media Summit (GMS), has announced its dates and venue for 2020. The worldwide event, celebrating its fifth anniversary, will be held April 22-24, 2020 at the Marriott Courtyard Dallas Carrollton Conference Center, 1201 Raiford Rd, Carrollton, TX 75007.

erica - possiblyThis year’s GMS Summit theme is: “Influencing the Influencers: Advancing the Ripple Effect of Impact.” The 2020 Summit has been revamped and will take on a new look from the start. On Wednesday night, the Summit will kick off with the return of the GMS Music Awards, an entertaining competition featuring up-and-coming Christian singers and songwriters from across the country. Music artist finalists will compete for the chance to win a spot to perform at the Platinum Awards Gala Friday night. Additional awards will be given, and special guest judges will be attending to give live and written critiques.

Also debuting this year are the “Masters Classes.” Each day, for an additional registration fee, attendees can learn from top industry professionals in advanced classes, designed to take media professionals to the next level in their careers.

panel-discussion-gms2016bReturning are the popular Media Seminars, also led by professionals in the television, radio, film and digital media industries. In addition there will be three inspirational General Sessions featuring worship and keynote speakers and on Thursday and Friday, the ever-popular Screening Rooms will be back. The Screening Room provides an opportunity for GMS attendees to provide a short trailer to educate GMS attendees about their media projects. The three-day event will be kicked off by the annual Platinum Awards Gala where Christian media leaders will be recognized for outstanding world-changing work in their respective fields.

crowd4In the past, the Global Media Summit has included mainline speakers like When Calls the Heart producer, Brian Byrd, actress Nancy Stafford, Brooklyn Tabernacle pastor and author, Jim Cymbala, movie producer, Phil Cooke, author and teacher, Kay Arthur and Women of Faith veteran and speaker, Thelma Wells. Each have provided educational and inspirational messages that have changed the life-course of many who have attended the Summit.
