March 13, 2018  – Dallas, TX – The 2018 Global Media Summit (GMS) will feature some of the top Christian music artists in the country throughout the three-day event. GMS, now in its third year, will take place at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, April 26-28, 2018.

Among those performing is two-time Dove Award winner, Babbie Mason. Her compositions can be found in numerous genres of Christian music, including Contemporary Gospel, Traditional Gospel, Urban Gospel and Southern Gospel music. Some of the nation’s most acclaimed artists and groups have recorded her compositions, which include two ASCAP Award winners and ten number one radio singles for songs like: “All Rise,” “With All My Heart,” “Each One,” “Reach One,” “Trust His Heart,” “Standing in the Gap,” “God Will Open Up The Windows” and “Love Is The More Excellent Way.” You will find Mason’s songs and hymns among the pages of the world’s most famous composers in church hymnals, musicals and choral octavos. Mason has performed at Billy Graham Crusades worldwide, Women of Faith Conferences, the Grammy Awards and Carnegie Hall.

Former Newsboys lead singer, John James, will return to the stage, singing for the GMS attendees. James was the lead singer of The Newsboys for eighteen years, but today spends most of his time as an evangelist who travels nationally and internationally, powerfully speaking at churches, conferences, youth rallies and schools. During his time with The Newsboys, the Christian rock group released ten albums, selling several million copies. They produced countless number one songs, earning Grammy nominations as well as Gold and Platinum Records.
Also sharing his musical gift is talented singer, international evangelist and Norwegian television host, Edward John. John’s hit songs include “What if” and “I Give You My Heart,” He also sang a duet on Europe’s number one club-charter’s CD with the song, “The Beach.” John, a GMS 2016 Platinum Award Winner, has starred in the television series, “The Chase,” and is the face and visionary for Kanal 10, a Scandinavian Television Network, based in Oslo, Norway.
Christian artist, worship leader, speaker and writer, Mary James will share her talent at GMS as well. James is a three-time Inspirational Country Music Association (ICMA) Female Vocalist of the Year and won ICMA Video of the year for her pro-life video, “Fearfully, Wonderfully Made.” James is President of her own non-profit organization, dedicated to sharing the love and life-giving message of the Gospel.

The theme of the 2018 Global Media Summit is “Victory in Battle.” GMS provides an opportunity for Christian media professionals, both men and women, to come together and be inspired, equipped, and to connect with each other.
