New Massive Entertainment Complex Coming to Texas to Rival The Galleria

When people think Texas, not too many immediately think of shopping. Yet the Lone Star State is rapidly becoming one of the most popular shopping hubs in the United States.

With more than 35 million annual visitors from all over the world, The Galleria is Houston’s number one attraction, beating out various athletic stadiums and concert venues. In addition to being a popular Houston attraction, The Galleria is also one of the most popular shopping destinations in the entire world.

There are more than 375 stores inside The Galleria complex, including 30 restaurants, two hotels, and even a full-sized ice rink. Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Ralph Lauren, Cartier, and other famous designers call The Galleria home, as well.

Now, a few hundred miles west of Houston in El Paso, Texas, a new mall and entertainment complex is coming to the area to compete with The Galleria.

According to KVIA, Transmountain partners recently announced its plans to build a massive new mall and entertainment center that will have 10 auditorium theaters, 18 lanes of “upscale” bowling, two full-service bars, and various restaurants for premium dining. In addition, the entertainment complex will have even more extravagant features including a zip line with skywalkers, multi-level laser tag arenas, and 110 interactive gaming systems.

The Cinergy Entertainment complex, coming to the Franklin Galleria on I-10, is expected to cost around $350 million to complete. Although the entertainment complex is well equipped with abundant entertainment options, faith remains a top priority, both for the developers and the El Paso community.

Unlike most shopping centers, which are built around department stores or movie theaters, a brand new church will play an integral role in the development of the new complex.

“With two brand new hospitals, The Outlet Shops of El Paso, and a new Abundant Living Faith Church all nearby, Franklin Galleria aims to provide the type of next-level entertainment that our community needs,” said Jose Gonzalez, the developer of the complex.
