June 18, 2019 – Dallas, TX – Social Media is a necessary aspect of marketing in today’s society but it is ever-changing. That is why the Global Media Summit (GMS) is offering an optional Social Media Boot Camp prior to the start of the 2019 GMS Summit on June 28 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The Global Media Summit (GMS), now in its fourth year, will be held June 28-29, 2019 at the Dallas Baptist University Hurst Campus, 110 Grapevine Highway in Hurst, Texas.

The Social Media Boot Camp will be presented by Jared Geesey, the Vice President of Business Development for Giving Company, a global faith and family media network comprising four key consumer brands, ChristianCinema.com, Dove.org, iDisciple.org, and FamilyChristian.com. At the Boot Camp, Geesey will show attendees how to manage their own ad buys without wasting their money. He will discuss the strategy of using Facebook, like Facebook “Watch” and Facebook “Creators,” Facebook “Groups” and will help the group master the Facebook pixel. Geesey will go over fundamentals like cross-posting, custom audiences and engagements, and branded content sponsorships. “The Boot Camp will provide a tool kit full of Social Media tips that could transform the way people do business,” said Suellen Roberts, Founder and President of the Global Media Summit. “GMS attendees will want to add this event to their schedule so they can expand the reach of their businesses and ministries.”

Jared Geesey’s mission for the past twenty years has been to lead at the intersection of technology, entertainment, and ministry, whether through building and growing e-commerce and digital platforms, non-profit organization management and consulting, or guiding film marketing and distribution. In 2017 he premiered the thirty episode TV show, “The National Bible Bee Gameshow” starring Kirk Cameron, on Facebook Live, reaching over ten million views across the series. He also recently led Christian Cinema to develop and launch the first digital streaming platform exclusively for the Christian market with an app ecosystem spanning from mobile to OTT streaming devices to powering major online retailers, as well as launching a white label streaming platform in South Africa in 2018.
