March 31, 2017 – Dallas, TX – Media professionals from across the world will gather May 4-6, 2017 for the annual Global Media Summit (GMS). The Summit will be held in Grapevine at the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel and Convention Center, located at 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine, Texas 76051.

GMS attendees will receive strategic information from industry professionals, at the top of their field in various forms of media, through five different Media Seminar Tracks: Writers, Radio, Marketing, Television and Film. All Tracks will be held Friday and Saturday afternoon at GMS.

The Writers Track is led by one of the most successful literary agents in the business, Steve Laube, President of the Steve Laube agency and named the 2009 ACFW agent of the year. Author, Vanderbilt Professor and Fox News Contributor, Carol Swain, heads up the Radio Track, while Public Relations Agency Owner and award-winning film producer, Cheryl Wicker, oversees the Marketing Track.The Writers Media Seminars will divide into Advanced and Beginner’s Tracks. In the Advanced Track, Steve Laube will discuss “What it Takes to Get a Traditional Book Contract as well as “The 10 K’s of a Good Book: or How You Can Earn 10K on your next one.” In the Beginner’s Track, author and editor, Frank Ball, will present “Pleasure, Perils and Pitfalls: A Success Map for Beginning Writers,” as well as “Hold Your Audience Hostage: How to Make Your Message Meaningful.”

Radio Track leader and media expert, Carol Swain, will participate in a panel led by former National Religious Broadcasters President and Radio Station General Manager, Ron Harris, called “Making an Impact Through Radio.” The Radio Track will put on its global hat as Albanian multiple radio station owner, Enkelejda Shelburne Kumaraku will speak about “Surviving the Rip Tide of Change.” Other Radio Track seminars are “Out of the Pew and into the World,” presented by Yvonne Carlson, as well as “Who is Your Listener?” taught by Jennifer Hayden Epperson, EdD.

The Marketing Track features four seminars as well, including “Leveraging the Media for Free Exposure, Credibility and Sales, “Defining Your Personal Identity,” “Building a Strategic Foundation to Catapult Your Brand,” and another led by public relations guru, Larry Ross, “Make YOUR Media Interviews Great Again!”

The Global Media Summit, in its second year, is a collaboration uniting media professionals globally to impact our culture and the world.
