Biography

Chicago native Angela Marie Hutchinson drove cross-country by herself at 22-years-young to pursue an entertainment career in Los Angeles. Now with 15 years of industry experience, Hutchinson has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television, and the GRAMMY’s. Hutchinson is also an author, casting director, producer and former talent agent. As a casting director, she has cast celebrities such as Billy Dee Williams, Lynne Whitfield and Vanessa A. Williams.
Hutchinson produced, wrote and cast the contemporary faith-based movie, “Hollywood Chaos,” which aired on Hulu and other media outlets. The film stars Vanessa Simmons (MTV’s “Runs House”) and Tyler Lepley (OWN’s Tyler Perry’s“ The Haves and The Have Nots”). She also cast the award-winning Pureflix movie, “Eternal Salvation.” During National Sexual Assault Awareness month in 2016, PBS aired Hutchinson’s feature documentary,” H.U.S.H.,” which she directed and produced about Hollywood’s Uncovered Sexual Harassment. Well-respected in the faith-based community, Hutchinson is passionate about serving God through her ministry as a mompreneur. Currently, she is the host of “Proverbs 31 Moms,” an online radio show that examines the intersection of faith and motherhood. Represented by a prominent literary agency, Hutchinson is penning a devotional for Christian moms. She is also the author of several published books: a comedic memoir, Breaking into Hollywood, and four children’s picture books. Her eBook, DBA: Doing Business As, was named“ the go-to guide for entrepreneurs to launch a business in 24 hours” by Rolling Out magazine.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Hutchinson earned her B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering. She also has a certificate in Cross-Media Journalism from USC. In May 2005, Hutchinson founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has helped thousands of professionals pursue their entertainment careers. Drive n by artistic heritage, media convergence and creative altruism, Hutchinson maintains an active role in her community. In her leisure time, Hutchinson enjoys rollerblading and spending time with her rocket scientist husband of 14 years and their three young children.
