Biography
Writer, Filmmaker, and media consultant Phil Cooke has produced media programming in more than 50 countries around the world. And during that time – through his company Cooke Pictures in Burbank, California – he’s helped some of the largest nonprofit organizations and leaders in the world use the media to tell their story in a changing, disrupted culture.
Phil was the Executive Producer of “Let Hope Rise – the Hillsong Movie,” and Producer of “The Insanity of God” – both feature documentaries that premiered worldwide in 2016. His clients include The Salvation Army, the YouVersion Bible App, The Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., and many of the most effective churches, ministries, and nonprofit organizations in America. His book “One Big Thing: Discovering What You Were Born to Do” was named by the Washington Post as one of the Top Five Business Books for 2012. His book “Unique: Telling Your Story in the Age of Brands and Social Media” is changing the way churches and nonprofit organizations tell their story in today’s distracted culture.
In addition to writing his blog at philcooke.com, he also blogs for The Huffington Post, and has been a contributor to Fast Company, Forbes.com, Wired.com, and FoxNews.com. Phil has been a long time member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in Hollywood and is a member of the Board of Directors for Image Journal.
